I have a 23 Zero Dakota 1400 roof top tent. Do you think this could go into the tent with the existing mattress and fold up? No bedding inside just the mattresses?
G'day Jase,
It cant, no. You'd need to look at getting the Roof Top Tent specific version of this mat which you can find here.
Does this fit inside the 1400 Hi View Roof top Tent? Worried that it’s not long enought.
G'day Troy,
You'll need a RTT specific mattress, as it neds to be able to fold in half without causing damage to the mattress.
The Darche RTM mattress is the best fit. Its the same as the ATM mat, just designed to fit with a roof top tent.
Hope that helps.
Where are they made? China? Not interested in who owns the company or where they are “engineered” or designed. What Country is the factory located in? Thank you.
G'day Wayne,
Different components of Darche's gear are made in a couple of offshore locations, but their manufacturing is primarily done in China.
Will this fit a ARB double swag
G'day John,
We don't sell ARB Gear, so can't comment on compatibility.
I recommend you check the measurements of your swag sleeping space against the measurements of the mattress listed online, and work off that.
Is there a 12v or battery pump to suit this mattress valve? And can you inflate the whole thing from just one valve? Cheers
G'day Jack,
You shouldn't need a pump to inflate this mattress, as they do have fairly quick inflation when you use them regularly, and ensure they aren't always stored tightly rolled. If you wanted to add some extra air to them, or make the process slightly quicker you can use any of the 12V or rechargeable pumps in our range, as they all have a range of fittings that will suit this style of valve. We would, however, advise proceeding with caution, as overinflation can cause issues with these mats. We'd recommend just opening all 4 valves, and letting the mat inflate itself and topping it up a little if it is really needed.
I want to use this to increase comfortably in my roof top tent. Hoping to lay it flat in my drifta hard shell and when done let the air out without rolling it up. Will this work?
G'day Dan,
Being a self-inflating mattress this will deflate easily by rolling it up, screwing the valves back up and then laying it flat. I'm not sure how your Drifta Roof Top Tent works but the other alternative is the Darche RTT Mattress RTM 1400 which will fold in half.
Will this fit into the airvolution swag
G'day Sue-ellen,
Yes the 1400 Wide All Terrain mattress with fit in the Air-Volution AD 1400 Swag.
Does this mattress fit too tight in the tapered/foot end of the dirty dee 1400? And would it roll up and fit the std bag still? Thanks
G'day Andrew,
Despite the appearance of a taper toward the foot end of the Dirty Dee 1400, there isn't really a taper in this swag. The 1400 Wide All Terrain Mattress will fit in the swag itself, however it will be a struggle to pack it up in the swag bag, we'd suggest rolling it separately.
Hi again How does this compare to the zempire double? I have looked at the exped, black wolf and sea to summitt. They seem excellent but are a little narrow for my kings big daddy swag( bummer) . Thank you .
G'day Vernice,
The Darche 1400 Wide All Terrain and Zempire Monstmat Twin are fairly similar in terms of in-use size, however, the main difference will be the internal foam, the Monstamat has more of a memory foam style and will compact smaller, the All terrain mattress is more of a standard type foam that won't compact as small. The weight of the Monstamat will also be a fair bit lighter.
Hi What does fully bonded mean? Below you state that the mattress is 236 long but on the specification it say 196. Can you please confirm the size. Thank you
G'day Vernice,
Fully bonded means that the external fabric and the foam are adhered to each other so that the internal foam doesn't move around, and the air stays where it should inside the mat. The All-Terrain 1400 is 196cm, so sorry for the confusion caused.
Darche sizes for queen size or 2 people
G'day Jenni,
The 1400 is considered a double sized mattress for 2 people, and is 1400mm or 1.4m wide. This is considered the standard double sized swag measurement. Hope that helps!
I’d like to make it firmer by adding more air, is this possible
G'day Mick,
Being fully bonded, there wont be an issue with pumping abit of extra air into your Darche 1400 Wide All Terrain Mattress. Just take care not to over inflate it, and you should be right!
im tossing up between this and the Monstamat Twin Camp Mat
G'day Kyle,
I can definitely ask the video team to pop it on the list. I know they have nearly 100 items currently on the list so it might be a long way off. There are a few vital differences between the two, the Monstamat is a fully bonded
Hi, Which would be better suited to the rooftop tent, this or the RTM1400 with the two sections
G'day Tony,
The Darche RTM 1400 is going to be a much better option for your
We use the split version in our panorama 2, works very well. Just Open the valves, fold it twice (in half and then again) and kneel on it, close the valves and it will close easier than the stock mattress. Only other recommendation is to make sure the valves on the head end are at the top - otherwise they dig into your hips, belly or worse being in the middle of the bed. Otherwise a frat upgrade to an already awesome tent ðŸ‘
Hi there will this mattress suite my partners Nebula 1550 ? Been looking for something more comfortable
G'day Tom,
The Darche ATM 1400 should fit just fine in your partner's Darche Nebula 1550. The Nebula has a sleeping area of 230cm x 150cm and the mat is only 195cm x 140cm so it'll be just a little narrower and about 35cm shorter but this probably isn't an issue for most people.
Damaged my original mattress that came with the adventure kings big daddy deluxe swag. Will this darche mattress fit?
G'day Ayesha,
Assuming your swag is the same one I can find currently online it looks like it's only 215cm long and this mat is 236cm long so I have a feeling you'll struggle to get it in there.
Does the Darche ATM 1400 have one way valves for inflation and deflation?
G'day Steven,
The Darche ATM 1400 has 6 valves all of which are more openings rather than a one-way rubber air inflation/deflation mechanism. With 5 of the valves closed, you would use 1 open for inflation with a pump, then all 6 open would allow for rapid deflation. Cheers :)
