Lightweight, high quality, and extremely durable, the Alpha Pot from Sea to Summit is the expertly designed and functional cooking pot you’ve been waiting for.
Constructed from high spec, hard-anodised, premium alloy - this pot is thin and light, yet impressively strong. The handle locks onto the pot while you’re cooking, and flips inwards to lock into place when not in use. Available in a range of sizes, the pot's base has also been sandblasted to help stabilise it, preventing any panic around the pot overturning while stirring. It features a strainer on the lid, and the ability to lock the lid to the rim of the pot for two-handed, off-the-ground convenience.

Will this alloy pot work on an induction cooktop please
Andy - Clifton Hill, VIC (9 months ago)
Hi Andy,
No, this pot doesn't have a magnetic base so it won't be suitable for an induction cooktop sorry.

Camping Stove Suitability 1 answer
Is it safe to use the Alpha Pots on stoves like the old Coleman Dual Fuel camping stove?
Charles - Armidale, NSW(11 months ago)
G'day Charles,
As long as the flame is under the pot and not coming over the sides of the pot you should be fine using something like the Dual Fuel Stoves.

Nesting Pots1 answer
I see the video allows the 2.7 l pot to fit inside the 3.7. Is this the case for all 4 sizes, will they all fit inside the next size up so the 3.7 will house the other three?
Franco - Lake Heights, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Franco,
Yes, they will. You'll just need to be conscious when popping in the 1.2 & 1.9L pots inside the 2.7L. It's a close fit and if you're not paying attention you may end up scratching the side of the pots, which isn't ideal for the anodized aluminum.

Sigma1 answer
I got 2.7 Sigma pot will it fit inside this pot?
Faz - Manly, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Faz,
A Sigma 2.7L Pot will fit into an Alpha or Sigma 3.7L The pots are the same, the difference between the series is the material.

Can I use this on a firepit1 answer
I'm looking to buy a Darche Firepit, that comes with a grill. Can any of the Alpha range (pots or frypans) be used on the grill with the firepit? I note a previous answer said these could not be used on a campfire but I'm not looking to have these directly on a campfire.
Michael - South Brisbane(4 years ago)
G'day Michael,
Sea to Summit has been fairly clear with us that the Alpha Pots shouldn't be used on a fire. You could probably get away with using them over the Darche Firepit, however, depending on the heat distribution you may cause irreparable damage to the handle and locking mechanism, so if you were super careful to ensure that there was only heat under the pot, and not under the handle, then it light be ok, but there would be some risk, and not something we'd be willing to recommend.

Hello, can a 230g gas canister and small stove fit inside?
Emma - Bendigo(4 years ago)
G'day Emma,
I'm guessing you're asking about the 1.2L pot? If so, then yes, depending on your stove you should be able to fit a 230g canister and stove inside.
Leece - Snowys(4 years ago)
I just purchased this set and arrived today. Fitting the 230g cannister inside the 1.2L was the main reason for buying this set. Unfortunately the gas cannister is too tall for the 1.2L pot and you cant put the lid on firmly or swing the handle around. I can fit a BIC lighter and a gas stand down the side but even a small BSR stove wont fit :(
Paul - Maffra, VIC (4 years ago)
Apologies for this Paul, this was tested with the smaller canister which is 100g, that's my mistake. If the pot isn't going to work for you please feel free to send through a reply to this email and we can arrange return information for you.
Leece - Snowys(4 years ago)
Following up on this since I am also interested in the 1.2L alpha pot to fit a 230g canister. Would a 230g canister fit if it is placed upside down so that the concave part is pointing up and perhaps then clearing the underside of the pot lid handle? or is the canister just plainly above the rim of the pot?
Tommy - 3031(4 years ago)
G'day Tommy,
I've measured this on my pot at home as we don't currently have the 1.2L pots available. The internal depth of the 1.2L pot is 9.6cm, and the 230g gas canisters are 11cm, so it's still about 15mm off either way your try to fit it.

Can you get replacement handle locking clips1 answer
Sadly ours melted in the fire a bit and no longer holds. It clips on and off easy enough hoping they sell as a part??
Guy - Sydney (4 years ago)
G'day Guy,
It's not something we carry, but it's possible that Sea to Summit would be able to help you out depending on the generation of your pot. The best bet will be to reach out to them directly on (08) 9221 6617 and see if they're able to help you out.

Pot diameter.1 answer
Hi trying to use the 2.7 or 3.7 in my Trangia. Can I get the 2 diameters of the larger pots please?
Andrew - Sherwood(5 years ago)
G'day Andrew,
If you select the size in the drop down menu the in-use dimensions will update. The longest measurement is with the handle out, and the width measurement is the external diameter of the pot base.

non-stick?1 answer
is the saucepan non-stick?
anna - ELSTERNWICK(5 years ago)
G'day Anna,
The Alpha Pots aren't non-stick, they are a hard anodised aluminium, so will need some oil or butter if you're cooking in the pot.

Does this sit well on gas stove?1 answer
Does this sit on a single gas stove (e.g msr rocket) safely without wobbling?
Sam - Sydney (6 years ago)
G'day Sam,
The MSR Pocket Rocket will accommodate the 1.2L Alpha Pot with ease. The larger capacity pots are also okay, so long as you are cooking on a flat surface/level ground and exercising the usual amount of caution that is recommended when cooking with the Pocket Rocket. Cheers :)

Can S2S delta bowls fit in the 1.2L pot?1 answer
I have the four-piece S2S delta bowl/cup set. Would one of those bowls (the slightly smaller grey ones perhaps?) fit inside the 1.2L pot? Cheers!
Dom - Warragul(6 years ago)
G'day Dom,
I've just tried the Delta Light Camp Set 4.4 inside an Alpha Pot and you'd have to go for the 2.7L Pot for them to fit inside the pot.
