The Sea to Summit Air Chair lets you take you Sea to Summit Sleeping mat and repurpose it into a comfortable and lightweight place to rest at the end of a long day out in the elements. Made from a durable 70 denier base, with a waterhead rating of 2000mm – you won’t have to stress about ruining your mat by using it as a chair. And, with an elasticated gusset on each side, the edges of your mat won’t get damaged, so you can rest easy.

Sea to Summit have cleverly and efficiently designed this chair to be lightweight, and they’ve managed to do that with minimal panels, straps and buckles. Turn your hiking mat into a comfortable seat to rest on, with an Air Chair from Sea to Summit.

We have this info in the specs, but it's easily missed!
The Sea to Summit Large Air Chair fits Sea to Summit Large mats, so yes, the Ether Light XT you've linked to will fit.

Will this fit a regular/wide Thermarest self inflating mat with 183 * 64 * 7.5 dimensions? I.e. a shorter length than large size STS mats.

G'day Sam,

The Air Chairs are designed to work with Sea to Summit air-filled mats, and unfortunately based on feedback from people trying this out with other self-inflating mats they don't quite work with the support structures to provide an adequate chair.

I've just checked with the info provided by Sea to Summit, and it says that the Air Chair fits the large Sea to Summit mats - so that would include the comfort plus large.

The Large Air Chair is made to fit large sized Sea to Summit Mats which have similar dimensions to the Exped Sim 3.8 LW (197L x 65W cm) - so theoretically you should be able to use your Exped with this chair kit - but, keep in mind that they are going to be ideally suited to Sea to Summit mats in terms of fit.Â

We've just heard back from a customer who's tried it out and unfortunately this air chair won't work with the Exped Sim 3.8LW - the Sim mat is just not firm enough to provide the support required! Sorry about that!
