Spacious, inflatable and full of clever features, the Aerodome II Pro from Zempire represents the future of camping in the great outdoors.
The fully inflatable frame is easy to inflate thanks to the included double action pump and pressure gauge to prevent overinflation. This tent is constructed from the brand’s strongest and most waterproof fabric - UN Spec 210D ripstop which has a whopping 10,000 waterhead rating. It’s also fully seam sealed with a sewn-in groundsheet to protect you from sodden ground.
Featuring individual sleeping rooms, a living space and awning – this tent is very roomy and livable. The interior features side mesh windows for controlling airflow in the tent and tinted windows for privacy from prying eyes. There’s a roof skylight for some natural light or lantern rigging for when you need to brighten your tent at night.
The Gull-wing door creates an integrated awning extension, and the awning pole set is included with the tent. With an integrated cupboard and internal storage ladders - you can organise all your gear inside your tent with ease. Topped off with an included bag for carrying to and from the campsite – this futuristic shelter will make family camping trips feel luxurious.
I am hoping for more info on the bedroom windows and having them open if it's raining. Is there any sort of cover? Video hard to tell.
G'day Melissa,
There are a few options for ventilation if it's raining. There are draft vents at the top of centre room of the tent that can be opened from the inside if it's raining and you need some airflow, this will also allow light in through the tinted PVC skylight. There are also lower draft vents in the base of the bedroom walls that can be opened up for ventilation, however if you're wanting to see outside while it's raining then you'll only be able to do this in the main room via the skylights and half/half windows with tinted PVC in them.
We are a family of 5, with 3 teenage boys. You list the comfortable capacity of this tent as 4, but can the larger bedroom comfortably fit 3 across? 230cm width suggests you could lie mattresses across it. Trying to decide whether this will suit, or whether we are better to go up to the Aerodome 3 Pro.
G'day Nicholas,
Yes, theoretically, you could fit three people in the larger bedroom of the Aerdome II Pro. It might give you a little less to move around, but if you used the central room for bags etc then it should be fine.
Hi there, Im a fan of this tent but before purchasing an keen to know is it's suitable for camping in hot climates?
G'day Lisa,
I think you'd be fine using this in warmer climates. It's got loads of decent sized windows for controlling airflow through the tent as well as roof vents in the central area of the tent. You can watch a walk-through video that Zempire has posted by clicking here to get a better idea of the tents features.
Hello, how dark is this tent from the inside of the bedrooms? Is it like the darkroom tents? It looks dark but not quite? Many thanks
G'day Craig,
Whilst the colours and fabrics used on the Zempire Aerodome II Pro might help block a little bit of light, the effect isn't anywhere near as dark as the Coleman tents with the Darkroom coating. These apply a black Polyurethane coating inside the rainfly fabric that blocks almost all light from getting through.
I have had someone tell me it's closer to 30kg yet description says 47kg. If its 47kg that's a very heavy item to put on the roof if a car.
G'day Ryan,
There is another model from Zempire available in the UK called the
Can this tent stand up without the awning section of the tent being erected? I am concerned that it won't fit on all the site we may stay at
G'day Jen,
I'm not 100% sure I understand what you mean when you refer to the awning section of the Zempire Aerodome II Pro Air Tent. However, if you have a look at out graphic of the floor plan you will need that amount of space (6.8m x 5.8m) at an absolute minimum as it's a T-shaped tent. Hopefully, that makes sense.
I don't own this tent (am looking at purchasing) and have wondered same thing. I'm pretty sure I've seen a video where they say you can roll the awning up and fasten it away but would love to have it confirmed.
G'day Chris,
I can confirm the front awning section on the T can be rolled back and secured, rather than zipped closed, or extended upwards for extra shade/weather protection. This however won't reduce the overall tent size, as the pegs at the side of the awning will remain in place and take up the same amount of space as it would with the front awning zipped down shut. Hopefully this helps.
Hi, is the storage cupboard in the smaller room removable? We are hoping to fit two kids on stretcher beds in this room but concerned there might not be much space between the beds (don't want squabbling kids ruining the trip!). Thanks :)
G'day Lindsey,
The storage cupboard in the smaller room is built into the side of the smaller room so unfortunately, it's not removable. I would dare say you'll still have plenty of room though as the room becomes 235cm x 170cm so should be ok depending on the size of the stretchers.
Hi, there is a large zipper at the front of the awning that goes from one corner all the way to the other, slightly hidden and not the zipper that opens to give you access inside the awning from the corners, looks like it’s designed to have something attach on. Thought it may be the zempire Aerobase but a post on your aerobase page leads me to believe it’s not due to height difference. Any ideas what it’s for?
G'day Glen,
I've given Zempire a buzz over in New Zealand to find out for you. It turns out that these zips have been placed on the Zempire Aerodome II Pro Air Tent in preparation for a new accessory that won't be released until September 2018 that will allow you to connect the awning to a Zempire Aerobase 3. Once the accessory is released, you'll be able to use it to connect but until then, it's a redundant feature.
Has the accessory been released?
G'day Con,
I've just touched base with Zempire, and the Aerobase 3 Pro Connector is now available in Australia. It's not something that we stock at the moment, but I've let our purchasing team know that we've had an interest in it.
If you do want us to follow it up - you can give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 or send us an email at service@snowys.com.au and we can see what we can do.
If you google it there are some stockists in Australia. I query the usability of it though, we mostly camp at powered sites, with this connected the tent would be roughly 10m in length. With a car and out trailer I can’t see us ever having the space. Would have made more sense to be able to unzip the current awning area and zip the aero base on to get more height/living space.
Glen, depends where you go camping. We went to the Bellarine Big 4 and the sites are huge - could easily fit this.
What tent pegs come with the aerodome 2 pro if any?
G'day Matt,
It does. From memory, you're provided with galvanised steel pegs.
Is the model in stock the 2018 model or the previous one? The pictures feature different models...
G'day Yuri,
The Zempire Aerodome II Pro Air Tent is the 2018 model.
We're only using the previous model for lifestyle images until new images become available.
Can you stand up in this tent?
G'day Sian,
The height of the doors of the Zempire Aerodome Pro II is 180cm and at it's maximum height, it is 230cm.
Do you stock ground sheet or carpet for this tent?
G'day Henry,
The groundsheet for the Zempire Aerodome II Pro can be found here. The carpet is only available in NZ and the UK at present, but we're hoping that Zempire might supply stock to Australia in the future.
