Camping with a group while fun, can be a bit of a challenge to house everyone, and also get your shelter set up quickly. The Zempire Aero TXL Lite provides you with the space and features that you need and has an easy pitch inflatable frame.
The Aero TXL Lite is the most portable 6-person air tent in the Zempire range and will provide you with the living space you need to enjoy your time away. With a fully inflatable pole system, pitching this tent won’t chew up your precious time away. The fabric has a fire retardant and UV treatment for extra durability, while also providing 5000mm of waterhead protection.
This tent features a blackout room and wall, which means it’ll help you catch some extra shuteye in the mornings without the harsh morning sun waking you up. The optional clip in bedroom allows for extra privacy in the tent, and the full head height adds to the livability of the Aero TXL Lite. This tent also comes with a sewn-in groundsheet which means there’s one less step for set up.
The vents at the rear of the tent and the large windows allow for fresh air to flow through the space, while the wet weather vestibule allows you to store sodden gear outside of your tent. If you’re after a spacious and easy to pitch shelter for a group or family, then the Zempire Aero TXL Lite is the tent you need.
Is it possible to close the front area to convert it into another bedroom with proper sealed floor and all?
G'day Mayra,
You could have someone sleep in the front area, however, there is no way to seal it, so the person would need to be in a swag or mosquito net or similar otherwise they'll likely get bitten by mosquitoes, and get their sleeping gear dirty.
I am trying to find a 3rd party air compressor for this tent (Zempire smart cell is over priced). Just wondering if the valves are standard and can be connected to a 3rd party air compressor (with adaptor)?
G'day Peng,
The valves are Boston style valve made for Zempires Tents, however, we wouldn't be able to confirm if another brand pump would work. If you're not keen on the Smart Cell, check out the Zempire Hurricane Pump
Interested in this tent, but am concerned about how it handles in wet and windy conditions. We go camping in the high country and there can be some big isolated storms that come through in summer that can dump 30mm pretty quickly and have a few wind gusts of 60kmph.
G'day Egmond,
The Aero TXL Lite Air Tent is classified as a three-season tent, so it will suit most environments other than snow. The waterhead rating on this tent is 5000mm, and it has torrential rain tested fabric, so it is going to keep you pretty dry in most conditions, you can read more about waterhead ratings here to determine if you think it will suit. Based on your description we think this tent should suit those conditions, just make sure to peg everything out well.
For the initial "3" sleeping areas at the back
G'day Rachael,
I've just given Zempire a call to double check this, and I can confirm that the rear sleeping area with the 3 D-shaped doors are included with the tent and come pre-attached and ready to go when you set the tent up.
Hi, I’m just wondering if camp stretcher beds will fit in the sleeping section of this tent given the slope on the end of the tent?
G'day Letitia,
We don't have a TXL Lite up to double check for you but based on the size and the walkthrough video that Zempire has made we're pretty confident you'll be able to fit stretchers in the rear section. It will depend on how many stretchers you want to fit, but one option would be to pop them in sideways rather than lengthways and not put up the room dividers.
I saw a review of the 6 person that said the windows and vents didn’t have fly screen mesh on them meaning they couldn’t be left open. Is that the case with this one too?
Hi Simon. Zempire has a video here which may give a better perspective of the windows - https://youtu.be/awGhC8d5BYM. You can see that all windows have a mesh panel with an internally adjustable storm flap. Hopefully this video answers your questions.
What's the difference between the new model and the older 1?
G'day Hayden,
I've had a chat with Zempire today and they told me that they're still running with the original model of the Aero TXL Lite Air Tent, so there haven't been any changes made to the design.
How does this tent cope in a humid Queensland summer? Is ventilation in the sleeping area an issue?
G'day Mark,
The Zempire Aero TXL Lite Air Tent has a number of large mesh windows, allowing you to open up the tent when it's not raining and allow some great cross ventilation through the tent. This should allow you to quickly circulate the air in your tent if you want to.
Would this tent fit in your standard tent pitching site? Can you keep the awning down if you are restricted in size?
G'day James,
As the Zempire Aero TXL Lite Air Tent is 770cm x 460cm, it's as you can imagine, a fairly large tent. In answering your question... it's really a question of what sort of site is available. You should be fine at most caravan parks as it's comparable to the size of most caravans, however, bush or free campsites vary drastically... so it's hard to say or give you a definitive answer.
When will this tent be available?
G'day James,
Sorry for my delay, I wanted to get you a current update. As it stands, we're expecting the Zempire Aero TXL Lite Air Tent in the first week of November.
G'day James & Georgette,
Sorry - there's been an additional delay in the Zempire container arriving. The new ETA is next week. Thanks for your patience.
G'day Samara,
We're expecting more stock in the next week or so, which would mean that by mid-May 2018, we'd be good to go again!
Does it come with a pump?
G'day James,
The Zempire Aero TXL Lite Air Tent does come with a suitable pump included.
Is stability provided by the guy ropes or a centre ridge pole?
There are no centre ridge poles Mark. The five air filled poles combined with the guy ropes offer great stability. Initial thoughts on air filled poles is that they may be soft and spongy, but when inflated correctly to 9psi, they are quite rigid.
