Whether you’re time poor, a bit of a camping novice, or you’re just wanting to make your getaway that little bit easier – the inflatable Zempire Aero TXL is here to give you a hand. With a large living area, and a rear sleeping room that can be divided into three for privacy or left open for more space it’s great for a family or group.
You won’t be blinded by the sun every morning, as the inner sleeping area will block out light making this tent perfect for sleep ins. The UV treated SPF 50+ fabric will keep your shelter deteriorating over time, and the hot taped seams and 5000mm waterhead rated fly will keep moisture out. The front awning can be used as a partially undercover living area which is perfect for relaxing, and with a full head height you can stroll in and out of your tent with ease.
The PVC windows allow for a beautiful view, and the mesh will keep insects out. The vents around the base of the tent will allow for cooler air to come through on warmer days, and prevent condensation from building up on the inside of your tent. The Aero TXL is so simple to use: just lay it down, peg it out, attach the pump, give it some air – and voila! With a spacious living area, and a rear sleeping area that can be divided up of left open plan – it’s a spacious and livable option for a group or family.
I recall seen a roof cover to provide additional cover from the sun for sale... are these still available
G'day Jarrod,Zempire
The Zempire Aero TXL Air Tent does still have a roof cover available, we are still waiting on these as part of the new season product range form Zempire. We expect them to be here before the end of September.
What groundsheet would you recommend for this tent? Is the awning available that zips up on the front of the tent?
Hi Emi,
This tent comes with the awning included as part of the tent, so you won’t need to buy one separately (and as far as we know there isn't one available).
As for a groundsheet, there isn’t going to be a perfect size due to the size of this tent (7.8m x 4.2m) so we would say to use a Kookaburra Heavy Duty Tarp in the 4.8 x 6.1m size for under the tent, and then use a Ultramesh tarp under the awning in the 3.05 x 4.8m size. These two together will overlap a bit, but you can always fold it under.
Hi, I have just received the tent and tested putting it up in the backyard. Love it, really easy to pop up. Howvere the front zip just above the entrance is there so that an awning can be zipped up, in your previous reply you suggested the awning was included, this is not the case. Can you please advise if I am missing something? Regards
Hi Emi. The tent should come with a vestibule type awning at the end of the tent, is that what you mean? If you like, give us a call on 1300 914 007 and we can talk it through with you to make sure you received everything that should be in the box. Cheers!
In all the product shots the front entrance is open - is there a door that can be sipped over to privacy / security.
G’day Julian,
Both the entrance on the awning and the interior door on the Aero TXL can be zipped shut for privacy and to keep out the elements. If you have a look at this video here at 3:33, you can see that the interior door to the tent has a mesh and solid option, while the door on the awning can be zipped up or rolled back halfway.
From what I can see the back bedroom is divided into three. Can it be divided in half? Are the dividers mesh or opaque material?
Hi Julian,
The sleeping area is made from a thinner dark polyester material which is not entirely opaque. As for dividing the sleeping area up – as there isn’t an attachment point in the very middle (you can see where the points are at 3:12 of this video) so you can divide it in two, but one space will be bigger than the other if that makes sense.
A review suggest that the tent package comes with the groundsheet and fleece carpet to suit tent. Can you please confirm this is included in the package?
G’day Emi,
I’ve just spoken to Zempire, and they have said that the carpet and groundsheet for the Aero tent range is currently only available in the UK, so the stock we have of the Aero TXL does not come with a groundsheet and carpet included.
These accessories haven’t been given a release date Australia or New Zealand yet, so it may be a while before they launch in AU/NZ.
Has Zempire released a cut to size ground sheet to the Aero TXL? Are you aware of one coming?
G'day Andrew,Â
I've just had a look into this for you, and it seems that Zempire has released a Aero TXL groundsheet (as well as for their other tent models) which is available from some UK retailers.
I've checked the 2017 Australian Zempire catalogue, and it doesn't seem to be available for us to order at this time - so it may be something introduced further down the track.
In the meantime us Aussies will just have to make do with other brand tarps for our Zempire tents!Â
Hi There, I made my own ground sheet using shade cloth which I sewed together. Took a couple of hours to make but way better than using a tarp as water sits between the tarp and tent.
I was reluctant to order a Zempire TXL while it was preorder. Today your website has changed to "Out of stock until September 2017!" Is this correct?
G'day Andrew,Â
We're sorry about the stuff around - I know it's a total pain. We had ordered the TXL Air Tents from Zempire, and we thought we would recieve them much sooner, but it turns out those tents are only going to be available from the supplier in September 2017.Â
So these tents are unavailable till September 2017
Hi Peter,Â
Yes that is the case Peter, Zempire is a New Zealand brand so it can be a bit of a wait to get things restocked as they are across the pond.
I do apologise about the inconvenience - there are heaps of you that want to get their hands on their gear! if that date changes, we will update the product page to let everyone know what's going on.Â
Hi Peter, looks like there is some confusion here, we do have the Aero TXL in stock at the moment. There are a few other Zempire items that are unavailable until September, thankfully the Aero TXL is not currently one of them. Sorry about the mix-up.
