Hi Snowys, how would these compare to the Darche Mini Multi LED Camp Lights? Intending to use them under a 4x4m gazebo and in the Turbo Plus 300 tent. Thanks
G'day Dan,
The Darche Mini Multi lights have a great number of individual light settings, and are overall brighter, so that have a shorter run time than the HardKorr U-Lites.
The do have abit more features in them, such and the hanging caribeener and the little stand.
Having said that though, I personally run the U-Lites and have done so for years - even before they were rechargeable.
I love their simple functionality - they tick all the boxes without too many bells and whistles. The low, high and amber light settings meet my needs, but totally understand thats not the case for everyone!
I'd say if you're deciding between the two and you want:
- excellent value for money matched with a great reputation, the U-Lites are awesome.
- brighter, and more functionality both in lighting and hardware, go with the Mini Multi.
I am thinking about adding these to my camping kit. Can you confirm that none of your current stock is subject to the safety recall mentioned in previous customer question and the Hard Korr website https://hardkorr.com/au/product-safety-recall/
G'day Brett,
Yep, we can confirm - the recall period was given a date well into the future (at the time) to account for any residual stock that still had to work its way through the supply chain.
The issue had already been addressed at the time, so there's no issues with current stock.
The orange setting good insect repellent?
G'day Mark,
The orange light works well on these lights but shouldn't be your only defence against insects. Orange light is less appealing to insects and bugs, making them less likely to bother you. Bright white and blue lights tend to attract them more. To enhance protection, consider using a personal insect repellent or a similar product as well.
Hi, These are simply excellent lights! Are these the current USB-C or micro USB ones? If not the USB-C ones, when do you expect to have these in stock? Thanks
G'day Andy,
I have just checked our current stock and we now have the USB-C lights and cables!
Does it work while charging at same time?
G'day Jerry,
These lights do work while charging them. This could affect the charging time and battery health of the lights when plugged in and being used, but you shouldn't have any issues.
Hi, is the white light a bit warm or blue in colour? I prefer warmer as I also have MPOWERD luci solar string lights. Is it similar?
G'day Michael,
These are a white light slightly on the warm side, they would be similar but not as warm as the MPOWRED Luci Lights. You also have the option of an orange light with these too!
When charging when will I know that they are fully charged
G'day Joel,
There is a small internal charging light that gives an indication of active charging that should turn off when it's done.
It may be abit hard to see it in broad day light, but it's in behind the frosted lantern cover.
Hope that helps.
Hello. I’m just wondering if the orange setting on these lights have a low setting or is just a high setting?
G'day Bradley,
On the orange mode, there is just a high setting or a strobe setting.
Hi , I used a new one of these first up and charge only lasted about 49 min on low before it started to switch off by itself .. How long will it take to re charge
G'day Shiree,
Unfortunately, this isn't something that Hard Korr specifies, but generally, lights with smaller batteries like this will take about 2-3 hours to charge up.
