Fit into 1.9L Alpha pot1 answer

Does the Trangia 25 kettle (15.1cm dia) fit into the 1.9L STS Alpha pot? I'm asking because I don't know whether the 16.5cm dia dimension of the Alpha pot is internal or includes the part of the handle that sticks out when it's packed. Thanks

Sorry again for the delay on this one, aswell. Same answer as with the 1.2L and 27 Kettle. It fits but it's quite tight, so just need to be mindful of not scratching your pot.

Handle lock1 answer

I'm wondering if the handle locks into position for use? I'd be concerned it may move as you're pouring boiling water??

G'day Lynne,

The handle does not lock into place, so just with a normal billy or similar kettle, you'll need to take care when pouring.
I find it hand to have a face washer or similar cloth on hand for pouring hiking/camping kettles.

G'day Jack,

We've weighed it in here at 180g on our scales, the Aussie Trangia supplier indicate it is 190g, so we'll attribute the 5g discrepancy between our weight and your weight to scale calibration I think.

We dont have any of the Pro Nano 1 litre squad pots instock for me to double check for you, however I do know that the pot is approx 13.5cm in diameter. Given that the Trangia 25 Series Kettle has a diameter of 15.1cm, I'd be pretty confident that it wont fit.

I can't see why not.

Just be cautious as the kettle is quite small so you'd need to manage your stovetop flame to not rise up the sides so high that it damages the handle.
