Is there a spark for the stove to ignite the flame or do you have to use a match

G'day Jeff,

The Gasmate 2 Burner Stove with Griller doesn't have a piezo ignitor so you'll need to use a match or lighter. If you're after a stove and grill combination that does have piezo ignition have a look at the Zempire 2 Burner Deluxe and Grill.

Just wondering if this stove with the grill can be used on a plastic bench/table?

We'd recommend that you don't use any camping stove on a plastic table unless you are able to put further insulation (thick timber or metal sheet) between the stove and the plastic top. The stoves generate a lot of radiant heat, especially through the base as flames are reflected off the grill, pots and/or pans and can melt plastic tables.

Longer hose3 answers

Works a treat!! Please point me in the right direction for a longer hose so I can have the bottle on the floor.

I've looked into this for you, and as far as we can find, there aren't any compatible longer hoses available. This may seem like a silly suggestion, but you could always get a milk crate (or something similar) to rest the bottle on so that you've got more space on your table.

G'day Jeanie. Yes that is correct. The folded and packed dimensions of this unit isÂ 51L x 32D x 17H cm with the wings folded in and the lid securely fastened down.

This stove came with a camper trailer that i just bought, but there is no griller tray...can it be bought separately? Also if I was to get the BBQ plate for use on top, would you turn on all 3 burners or just the 2 round ones? thanks

As far as I know the griller tray is not available separately, but I'll call the supplier tomorrow to check that for you. If you're using a BBQ plate on top of the stove, I would use just the 2 round burners.Â

The answers below don't fit my experience with this new stove2 answers

The information below states that all I need is a POL adapter and that a regular can't or doesn't need to be used. So, I bought the POL adapter to use with my 4 L gas bottle. It doesn't work. the stove either turns itself off when I try to burn it on low, or if I turn it up enough to keep it on, flames shoot up 2 feet. The POL adapter with my 4 L gas bottle does not work, it seems to need a regulator. Unfortunately we took this new stove camping and then couldn't use it....

Hose fitting1 answer

I have an extended hose with regulator and POL to 3/8 fitting to fit a Weber baby Q that I attach to one of the Caravan's 9Kg cylinders. Will that hose work on this stove?

G'day Bob - A POL to 3/8 hose will, but not with the regulator, unfortunately. The stove comes with a 3/8 to 3/8 hose. Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul

As per the customer Q below, I also wish to use my 9kg BBQ Gas Bottle, 'Sarah' advised to get the POL -3/8 adaptor. This stove is designed to suit a 3/8LH connection. A typical 9kg BBQ gas bottle has a POL fitting. If you wish to use this stove with this large gas bottle you can simply purchase a POL-3/8 adaptor which we stock.
