Can the solar panels charge a power bank for later use at night?
G'day Chris,
Yes absolutely, the 12W Personal USB Solar Panel can be used to directly charge your device and/or charge a power bank to use later. There are two USB outputs rated to 2A so you'll have no troubles charging two things at once.
Or is only with the sun?
G'day Jose,
Solar Panels are basically energy converters. They work on light from the sun, not heat and its this light that is converted into energy. The solar panels can't store this energy and will need to be connected to a powerbank/battery setup for later use. This solar panel is designed to directly charge devices whilst the sun is shining.
I see other units have descriptions that they are waterproof... this description does not include this... so can it be exposed to water/rain while out charging (i know sounds silly but ...)
G'day Sandy,
The 12W Personal USB Solar Panel doesn't come with a specific waterproof rating, which means you should bring it in out of the weather any time there is rain so that there is no chance of damage to the unit.
Are the USB ports micro-usb or usb-c?
G'day Robert,
The USB outputs on the Korr Lighting 12W Personal USB Polar Panel are standard 2Amp USB ports. You can plug any standard USB cable into it to charge your device whether it is micro-USB or USB-C.
Hi, The specs for this states 2A, but doesn't specify if it is per port or total. If it is 2A total, that means 1A per port when both are plugged. That's hardly fast ports. Can you please confirm
G'day Jay,
It's 2A total mate. Cheers :)
