Does this control box require a fuse between it, and the battery. If so what size fuse would you recommend?
G'day Mark,
There are 2 fuses between the Anderson plugs on the distribution box, it's not necessary to add extra but if you want extra protection for your battery and devices it is a great idea. You will need to calculate the max amps drawn from your setup and add a little extra for the size fuse you will need. Jaycar may have some handy tips and advice on this matter!
Is there an internal fuse and is it safe to use a 500W inverter from an Anderson Plug on this box?
G'day Row,
Sorry for the dealy in getting back to you!
Yep, there are 2 x 30A fuses in parallel between Anderson Plugs, and you shouldn't have any issues plugging a 500W inverter into the 50A Anderson output.
Hope that helps!
Hi guys. I was wondering if I can power the hard korr strip lights from the DC sockets in this distribution box instead of the cig socket?
G'day Dan,
I dont have one of these physically with me here to check, but i have confirmed with Hard Korr that the black DC terminals on their light kits will fit into the DC barrel outputs on this distribution box.
