Hi, I see from the other posts on the 100w solar blanket it does not have a regulator which is ideal for our caravan My query is regarding a second battery in the back of our car. Is unregulated an issue for this? Battery is in an XTM battery box if that’s of assist

G'day Gary,
Looks like the XTM battery box is a BCF exclusive, so we're not 100% across them. I've had a quick look at the sepcifications, and it appears the box does NOT have an inbuilt charge regulator, in which case you will need to put one inline with whatever solar panel you're using. Theres no issue using a regulator with the box, and then removing it dor the caravan. I'd confirm with BCF though just to be sure on the battery box specs.

Hi, could I use the Hard Korr 30a PWM solar regulator with this Companion 100w panel?
Ted - Melbourne, VIC(1 week ago)
G'day Ted,
Yeah, absolutely. The solar panels have a max 5.1A output, so that HardKorr PWM controller more than covers that. Both use anderson plugs as well, so you shouldn't have any issues with compatibility.

Inbuilt solar regulator?1 answer
Does this have an inbuilt solar regulator? I am looking for a blanket without one to allow direct connection to our caravan BMS.
Sean - Bairnsdale, VIC (1 month ago)
G'day Sean,
It doesn't, no. 100W it's a fairly small output though, and is more commonly suitable for car campers who have a small battery. I'm not sure if it will be sufficient enough for a caravan 12v system.
