Good detail provided on these headlamps but without a price being included, there is no real point of comparison other than tech specs. Price allows a value for money assessment to be made by a potential purchaser by weighing cost vs performance.

Writing about the best headlamp is subjective to what you are using it for. Since I am involved in rogaining which involves navigation in the dark for 11 – 13 hours in the dark depending the time of year the above headlamps would be adequate but not the best choice. The ones outlined are excellent choices for camping and trail running. Having a flood and spot option on the same torch is beneficial. The flood helps with reading maps.

I’m surprised the Knog Bilby hasn’t made the top 10, this is by far the best headlamp I have ever used. Its so comfortable and I love that the fact the USB is part of the headlamp so no extra cords.
Only stumbled upon it as I love my Knog bike light so much I thought I would support an Aussie company that designs really cool product.

Which, if any, headlamps have a warm white light for relaxing evening use around camp?

There aren’t any headlamps that specifically advertise a warm light, but we think that the main light from the Knog Bandicoot and Bilby headlamps, whilst still white, has a warmer feel than many other headlamps. They also have a reading light function on the underside which have a noticeably warmer light.
