Offering more comfort than the Jardine, but not quite as warm as the Samurai, the Zambezie Jumbo Hooded Sleeping Bag is the most popular choice in the Black Wolf range. A soft flannel lining, contoured hood, and 300gsm of fill provides warm comfort on chilly nights, while full length zips enable the bag to be opened up if the temperature is mild. Decked out with all the features you would want in a sleeping bag including draft flaps, anti-snag zips and an internal security pocket, the Zambezie jumbo hooded still includes a pillow slip and comes in four colour choices despite the value for money price tag.
-6°C Temperature rating.
Anti bite zipper guard.
Draft collar.
Draft flap over zip.
Countoured hood with pillow slip.
Internal security pocket.

Black wolf samurai and zambezie1 answer
Hi,
Can the samurai and zambezie zip together if we have 1 left samurai zipper and 1 right zambezie zipper.
Thanks
Karen - Parramatta (8 years ago)
G'day Karen,
I've just confirmed with the display models that you can zip a Zambezie and Samurai sleeping bag together as long as one is a right, and the other is a left.
The Zambezie, Jardin and Samurai are all the same size and have the same zips (their differences are the amount of filling)Â so they can be zipped together interchangeably.Â

comparison between Black Wolf Samurai & Zambeezie1 answer
Most of my sleeping bag use is in tents, shearing huts & my Kamp Rite Cot
I do camp all year round - can't make up my mind between the Black wolf .Samurai, B/wolf Zambezie jumbo hooded and even the Roman Big man - what do you think. Compression storage is important
Gene - CARINGBAH, NSW(8 years ago)
Any of these would be suitable Gene, but I'll try and make a few points that may help with your decision. The Roman Big Man Hooded is the bulkiest when packed, the Zambezie the smallest (by only a few cm under the Samurai). I think that for all-year-round camping, the Samurai with a -10°C rating would be the best choice. It can be used as a doonah during summer, and will keep you warm in the depths of winter. If compression size (of which the Roman Big man is about 15% bigger) was not a consideration, I would recommend the Roman. It's temperature rating is generous and it has a spacious cut. I hope this helps.

Does this have a zip on the side and another on the end?1 answer
Can it open out to a quilt?
Elizabeth - BELL POST HILL, VIC(8 years ago)
Hi Elizabeth, this sleeping bag does have two zippers, one down the side and one across the bottom. You can open it up fully to use it as a quilt.

Will A Black Wolf Self Inflating Deluxe Pillow fit into the pillow slip?1 answer
Brent - Wanneroo/Perth(9 years ago)
Certainly doers Brent, I tested it this morning for you. It's a snug fit, I found it easiest to insert the pillow partially deflated, position it then let it inflate in the sleeve.

Can these be zipped together to make a double?2 answers
Can these bags be zipped together to make 1 big bag?
Dave - Edithvale (9 years ago)
Sure can Dave, provided you get a left and right zip combination. As a general rule, if two bags are ordered we always send this combination, but don't hesitate to call and confirm if/when you place an order as there is no function to specify this on the website (yet!).

2/7/19 Update - Just a heads up, we now have the option to select this from the drop-down menu when you add it to the bag.

Are the hoods removable?1 answer
Becky - Armidale(9 years ago)
The hoods are fixed on these Becky. The only sleeping bag we have with a removable hood is the Black Wolf Tuff All Season, but this is quite a different bag to the Zambezie in that is is warmer, bulkier and heavier.
