From your daily commute to overnight trips, the Black Wolf Tempo 40 is equipped with the comfort, features and volume for all but the longest of treks.
Boasting an Air Light Harness and updated contoured shoulder straps combined with a sturdy contoured hip belt for exceptional carrying comfort. The front-loading single main compartment features an internal organiser and a hydration pouch, while water-resistant external pockets and mesh waist belt pouches keep essentials securely at hand.
You can keep your passports and credit cards in the RFID pocket for protection against electronic pickpocketing. Also featuring trekking pole holders, expanding water bottle pockets and a built-in rain cover, the Black Wolf Tempo 40 is a technical pack for every adventure.
I wanted to use this pack for hiking for 2/3 day trips but does the zempire atom hiking tent fit into the wolf tempo backpack?
You'd squeeze it in, Kathleen, but it will be tight. It would be best to pack the different tent parts separately and maybe put the poles on the outside. The arched air harness on the Tempo backpack can make it awkward to pack long things inside.
Consider everything else you want to take though, if you put the Atom in this tent, then add a sleeping bag and mat, you won't have much room for anything else.
I am concerned the backpack 40 Lin’s too big despite coming within international 56 x 36 x 24 size on specs
G'day Hayden,
The depth dimension listed within the in-use dimensions does not include the harness and hip belt. There is nothing that states this bag is carry on approved, but from some quick research, it seems to be within most carry on luggage allowances when full. Check with your airline first though, to be sure!
Is this the pre 2017-10 or the updated model?
G'day William,
The stock we have of the Black Wold Tempo 40L is the most recent 2017-2018 updated model.
hi, i have just received this bag but it doesn't seem to have compression straps as mentioned. the water bottle holder has a strap, is this it?
G'day Danny,
That's correct, as you can see from the images, the compression strap on the Black Wolf Tiempo is located at the top of the side pouch.
I can't find any details on what size hydration bladder will fit in this backpack. 3L or 2L? Thanks
G'day Michelle,
I've just double checked with our backpack guru, Lisa & she told me that Black Wolf Tempo 40L Backpack will fit either a 2L or a 3L bladder. So feel free to grab whichever you'd prefer (or both of course) and it'll work a treat for you!
hi, the dimensions on the black wolf site say 52 x 30 x 22cm, however, on this site they are 33W x 54H x 24D cm. can you please advise
G'day Nick,
Thanks for pointing this out. The in-use dimensions of any backpack can always be a little open to interpretation depending on how much you want to squeeze into the bag. We try to double check all our specifications because we've often found the manufacturer to be incorrect for a range of reasons. I've just physically re-checked The Black Wolf Tempo 40L and with the pack filled without placing any pressure on seams or zips, the dimensions are as listed on our website - 33W x 54H x 24D cm.
I do recognise that we have our packed dimensions mixed up in terms of H, W and D and we'll look to fix this and get consistency between these two specifications today.
Hello, I cannot tell from picture but is there a main compartment with a bigger zip plus the two zippers that you can see clearly in the picture?
Yes that's right Sue, There's one main compartment with a sleeve for your bladder and then a small top pocket on the outside of the pack as well as a front side pocket. Perhaps viewing the picture in different colours will give you a clearer view.
I've had this backpack for about a year and it's great but unfortunately, one of the pole straps has been lost. Are there spare parts available?
G'day Mal,
The pole strap isn't readily available, but I've given the spare parts and warranties guy over at Black Wolf a call - and he isn't going to be in again until next Tuesday.
He might be able to find one off an old pack and send it to us, so I will give him a call again on Tuesday and see if we can get our hands on one for you Mal.
Hi Mal,
I've got hold of the right person at Black Wolf, and the good news is that we are able to get a spare pole strap in.
All we need from you is a few more contact details and a picture of the part of the bag missing the strap. If you could send us an email at service@snowys.com.au then we can get right on it.
Hi - the BW site shows the air suspension back for the Tempo 40L: http://www.blackwolf.com.au/product/Tempo-40/38 However, your site shows a padded back. Please confirm which back your stock has. Thanks, Jeremy
