I've just double checked with the display model, and yes the Buckley Sleeping Bag can be opened up like a Doona.

If you're after a sleeping bag that is versatile for both summer and autumn use, then this bag is probably a good option as it's rated 0 degrees. 

It's hard to say whether it will be too hot for 20 degrees, as it will depend on if your child is a hot or cold sleeper as well. 

Generally we say that it's better to be a little too warm then too cold, as you can always unzip the bottom or side of the bag for more ventilation - whereas if it's a chilly night you can't make the bag any warmer!

The Explore Planet Earth Buckley Kids Sleeping Bag doesn’t come with a carry bag, but it does come in a stuff sack, which has a long cord that’s connected to the end of the bag - so you could easily carry it over the shoulder like a bag.
